Our instructors have extensive international experience in various industries including Industrial Safety, Firefighting, and Emergency Medical Services.

We can provide safety training tailored to your needs and conducted at your site.

Charleston Safety can also provide custom safety and emergency response training for your organization. From onboarding safety orientation to site-specific safety training, we can develop a training program to fit your need with various delivery options.

Our Courses Include

  • The 10-hour training program is primarily intended for entry-level workers. The 30-hour training program is intended to provide workers with some safety responsibility and a greater depth and variety of training. All outreach training is intended to cover an overview of the hazards a worker may encounter on a job site. Training emphasizes hazard identification, avoidance, control and prevention, not OSHA standards.

  • The 10-hour training program is primarily intended entry-level workers. The 30-hour training program is intended to provide workers with some safety responsibility and a greater depth and variety of training. All outreach training is intended to cover an overview of the hazards a worker may encounter on a job site. Training emphasizes hazard identification, avoidance, control and prevention, not OSHA standards.

  • We conduct the National Safety Council’s Work Zone Flagger program which is an introductory course that provides training to personnel conducting flagging operations in temporary traffic control work zones. This course is approved by SCDOT and is required for anyone conducting flagging operations.

  • Charleston Safety is approved to conduct The American College of Surgeon’s STOP THE BLEED course to provide students with life-saving training to control bleeding in emergency situations. We can offer this course in conjunction with any of our other training.

  • We can assist your company with developing a MSHA training plan and provide the necessary training. Please contact us for more information.

  • OSHA defines a Competent Person as “one who is capable of identifying existing and predictable hazards in the surroundings or working conditions which are unsanitary, hazardous, or dangerous to employees, and who has authorization to take prompt corrective measures to eliminate them" [29 CFR 1926.32(f)]. The Competent Person must be knowledgeable by way of experience or training.

    We can provide custom Competent Person level training to develop confident Competent Persons who will have improved knowledge of workplace safety. Competent Person training areas include Fall Protection, Confined Space Entry, Scaffolding, Forklifts, and more.

  • OSHA requires most workplaces to have at least one person trained in First Aid and CPR. With over 20 years of experience in Emergency Services and working in conflict zones, we deliver this training with real-world practical experience.

  • OSHA has issued directives and procedures for the enforcement of the requirement to protect workers from occupational exposure to workplace violence. Through the use of the General Duty Clause, OSHA can require this training. With experienced Law Enforcement and Diplomatic Security professionals on staff, Charleston Safety can conduct Active Shooter Response training and provide response plan development for any facility. We develop programs to comply with California’s Workplace Violence Bill SB 553.

Conducting the National Safety Council Workzone Flagger class in Florence, South Carolina.

CP Exchange, LLC had an urgent need for DOT WorkZone Flagger training on a Telecom project in Florence, SC. We were able to arrange the logistics and mobilize a weekend course to deliver a National Safety Council ® approved Flagger course. To provide when with good value we also conducted a Stop the Bleed ® course and Job Hazard Analysis training.
